Sources

Every fact on this site comes from one of the sources below. Where a page states something, it also says which of these it came from and how confident we are.

Medicare LSPN register (Services Australia / Department of Health) — the statutory register of accredited imaging practices: practice number, name, address, accredited modalities and accreditation dates. This is the spine of the corpus and the source of every accreditation claim.

Medicare-eligible MRI and PET location lists (health.gov.au) — the Government's published lists of practices where Medicare-eligible MRI and PET are performed. The MRI list we use was last updated 17 February 2026. These are the only source for the eligibility statements on this site.

healthdirect / the National Health Services Directory — contact details, opening hours and provider-reported billing. Provider-maintained, so we treat it as a hint rather than a fact, and we label contact details that come only from here.

State and territory health directories — public hospital and local health district imaging services, which are frequently the only imaging in a regional town.

Provider websites — hours, service lists and contact details, read within the practice's accredited scope so a chain's national service menu never becomes a claim about a single branch.

NATA (accreditation records) and AIHW (hospital reference data) — cross-checks rather than display sources.

GeoNames — locality and postcode centroids, used for every distance on the site. Licensed CC-BY 4.0; attribution appears in the footer of every page as that licence requires.

Prices and ratings are outside the clinic register. Billing notes appear only when they come from an identified public or provider source.
