scanfinder is information, not medical advice. It tells you where imaging is available and who is accredited to do it. It does not tell you whether you need a scan, which scan you need, or what a result means. Those are questions for your doctor, and no page here will answer them.

Confirm details with the provider before you travel. Opening hours, waiting times, billing policies and equipment change without notice, and a practice accredited for a scan may not offer it every day — in regional Australia some services visit on a roster rather than sitting in the building.

Accreditation is not a quality judgement. The Medicare register records that a practice meets the requirements to claim benefits for a modality. It is not a ranking, a rating, or a recommendation, and we do not publish ratings of any kind.

We do not guarantee that a practice is open, accepting bookings, or able to perform a particular scan for you. We do not publish prices, and any statement about Medicare eligibility describes a practice's listing status, never your personal entitlement.
